BARRINGTON, Ill. - [July 28, 2026] - Ortho Molecular Products announced the publication of the fourth human clinical trial evaluating Calocurb® and its active ingredient, Amarasate®, a patented New Zealand bitter hops extract developed to support appetite and craving control. In the newly published six-month study, participants using Calocurb achieved greater weight loss than placebo while preserving lean muscle mass.
The randomized, double-blind clinical trial undertaken by a research institute of the New Zealand government evaluated Calocurb® over 24 weeks with a three-month follow-up on all participants. Those who took Calocurb® experienced significantly greater reductions in body weight, body fat and visceral fat, and also maintained muscle mass, compared to the placebo group. - Average visceral fat loss of 5 in2 (32.5 cm2) vs. 1.4 in2 (9.1 cm2) lost after six months of consistent use of Calocurb® vs. placebo
